Splenectomy

Splenectomy is the surgical removal of the spleen. Approximately 2/3 of all patients who have a splenectomy have a good response. Removing the spleen may make the patient permanently susceptible to infections.1

Always seek the advice of your own physician or other qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical conditions.
